From my time capsule, this is a documentary about evangelical religion in professional sports, made for CBC Radio’s long-gone sports program, The Inside Track, sometime in the 1990s.

My friend David Kattenburg, in Winnipeg, runs a great little broadcast/podcast outfit call The Green Planet Monitor. In this piece—produced for Dave’s series Twelve Canadians—I drive through Windsor, Ontario and across multiple decades with the legendary union leader Ken Lewenza.

How can mass transit help a city conquer inequality? This short documentary uses Hamilton’s Light Rail Transit project to probe that question. (I urge you to ignore the fact that, since this piece was produced, the provincial government rescinded its promise to build Hamilton’s LRT). The wonderful Lil Blume lent her voice to this presentation, and the Ontario Arts Council funded it.
